Darron Underwood

I graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1999.  I received my Bachelors of Administration in Marketing in the Spring of 2003 from ULM.  I also graduated from ULM with a Masters of Arts in Teaching(2009) and a Masters in Education Leadership(2011).

I’m married to a wonderful wife, Janitra Underwood.  We’ve been married since June 2009.  Together we have two brilliant children, Kaidyn Underwood and Richard Douglas Smith IV, and a Shih Tzu, Oz.

As a father, I’m proud of all of their accomplishments.  Together we travel, play board games, and visit restaurants all over the country.

When I’m not working, I like to spend my time with my family.  I’m very passionate about education so a lot of my time is spent researching and learning new trends in education.  When I’m looking to destress, I like to play an occasional game on my cell phone.

I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.  I’m usually spending time volunteering within the community.
